Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician in the chemical industry, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses to support research, development, and quality control activities. Your role will involve performing experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.

You will work under the guidance of senior scientists and engineers to carry out a range of laboratory procedures, including chemical and physical analyses, sample preparation, and instrument calibration. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity of test samples and following established protocols to ensure accurate and reproducible results.

Your responsibilities will include preparing chemical solutions, operating laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and documenting experimental procedures and results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance guidelines. You may also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the laboratory and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

In addition to routine testing and analysis, you may troubleshoot equipment issues, participate in method development and validation activities, and assist with research projects as needed. Your contributions will help to support product development, process optimization, and quality assurance efforts within the chemical manufacturing environment.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong foundation in chemistry and laboratory techniques, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. You should be familiar with laboratory safety practices and possess the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are also important for success in this role.

Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, particularly in the chemical industry, is preferred but not required. A degree or certification in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field may be advantageous.
