Effective communication skills are essential, as you will need to communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other dental team members. You should be able to follow instructions accurately and anticipate the needs of the dentist or dental hygienist during procedures.
Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a related field is preferred but not required. Training or certification from an accredited dental assisting program may be advantageous.
If you are compassionate and committed to providing exceptional patient care, this could be the job for you.
